Difference between pre-tax payroll deductions and post-tax payroll deductions. My employer is givingme the option to have them pre-tax or post-tax my deductions and I don't know what to do

Talk to an accountant or read. It's not a difficult concept -- you will pay tax now or later.

Given a choice: I'd take all the pre-tax deductions I can get! You will be reducing your taxable income!
