  • It's silly that the guard got arrested; the school was empty as it was night time, I assume. PS why did people rate yo down? Points from me- nothing wrong with this question!
  • I think its wrong that the guard got arrested. He was doing his job by chasing after a criminal, and if the criminal was armed and/or dangerous, how was the security guard supposed to defend himself? They're supposed to carry defensive weapons. Plus, it was late at night, the school was empty, who could have gotten hurt? I guess they arrested the security guard, because he could have left the gun on the school grounds, a kid could have found it and shot themselves, or someone else. I still think only the criminal should have been arrested.
  • If he was allowed to have a gun I can't understand,at the same time being on another property may be the reason why - I'm sure he'll get out of it after they find out the situation
  • Why did he chase him? Why didn't he just point the gun at him and threaten to shoot?
  • In court, common sense will prevail here. the law is built on intent. it was not the security guards intent to violate the carrying a weapon on school grounds. he was performing a task of his employment. This will be dismissed.
