G'day Vanderde, Thank you for your question. Michael Dukakis was the Democratic nominee for the presidential election. He lost the election to George H.W. Bush of the Republicans winning 10 states and Washington DC and 45% of the vote. He was serving as Governor of Massachusetts at the time. I have attached sources for your reference.
