  • I'm not even sure what a "Goth Scene" is, I'm such a dinosaur. For younger aspies, alternative things might be appealing. For us older aspies, we tend to shy away from any "scene". Isolation has been our protective shield for too long to change. Many of us have social phobia as well as AS. +3
  • I doubt it. The Goth scene is a different sort of clique, much as cheerleaders or jocks. There is a type of "fitting in" even if it isn't the mainstream idea of conformity. If you want an Aspie-friendly wya to fit in without worrying about fitting in, computers and RPGs are a better way to "escape". You don't have to worry about your wardrobe, the "normal" people expect you to be weird, and your peers won't even notice your eccentricity since they are a little off themselves regardless of whether they are "on the spectrum" or not. Most of the Aspies I know (myself included) are into both of those things.
