Is the GOP leaning further to the Right than Benito Mussolini? Do you have to be a total Fascist to be considered "Conservative enough" to be called a Republican, or is the party truly splintering? (see link)

One of our cons here said yesterday that the GOP will nominate someone for 2012 who is more socially conservative than Sarah Palin and more fiscally conservative than Ron Paul. That puts the focus squarely on the fascists out there. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/8266183

First, consider you source. The Washington Monthly is a left wing magazine. Do you really think they'd publish anything positive about conservatives or republicans? This censure is no different that what the Dems wanted to do to Diane Feinstein in 2007. Nancy Pelosi's idea to convert private insurance companies into income tax collectors under the guise of ObamaCare mandatory insurance and coerce the citizens into paying this new huge tax to these new privately owned and privately operated publicans by the threat of imprisonment is nothing short of Benito Mussolini's idea of fascist state. The government and private corporations robbing the citizens by the threat of using the treat of force and sharing the loot.
