Okay, You're probably thinking.. 'Oh right, what does SHE know?' To be honest I know exactly what your going through, so listen, please, you'll save yourself a lot of hurt. I was 14 and had a boyfriend who was 18, we were going out for about 2 weeks when he went to college in the USA and I was stuck here, finishing highschool in Canada. We would text and talk all the time, and things seemed to be going well. I will admit I'm very mature for my age, which at the time helped me to understand why he was dating someone so much younger than him. Until, I asked my parent's if he could come visit. They at this time did not know how old my boyfiend really was, and let me tell you, they freaked out. They made me tell them exactly what we had done (which had only been makingout and such)and yet my father talked to the cops. My boyfriend was nearly arrested because of ICWM- Inapropriate contact with a minor. A minor is someone under the legal age of 18, but they could not go through with the arrest unless they contacted the state police, which was a huge deal. To answer your question more directly, YES, it is illegal and YES it's wrong, because when you think of it? Why are the reasons he's dating you and not some (more mature) girl his own age. It would be legal after you complete the age 16. Because the age of consent in Canada is 16. There are age difference rules which allows sexual intercourse before 16, but since your boyfriend is 20, those rules are not effective. You just wait until your 16th birthday is past.

I'm not sure if its legal or not in Canada, but you should be really questioning what a 20 year old guy is doing with a 15 year old girl. I'm 19 and we took my roommate's 15 year old sister out with us one night and you can bet your ass none of the guys wanted to go near her once they found out her age and they were really drunk. If this guy is okay with it sober then you should be questioning why this guy is not looking for girls his own age. The laws are in place for a reason. Also, the fact that he doesn't live near you should raise some red flags too. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for having fun with older guys but there is a limit. Try someone in high school and don't grow up too fast. Enjoy being young while you can.
