  • Yes, but the businesses who took the stimulus money were supposed to spend it, not apply it directly to their bottom line, which does nothing for the economy at large. Damned Republicans, working against the country for political gain, as usual.
  • ***Wasn't his stimulus package supposed to ***help the job problem? Of course not. His stimulus package was supposed to pay for many extravaganzas on liberal wish list, and to fill in budgets holes in States budgets overburdened by 6 figure pensions of publicly employed janitors. There was nothing about jobs in porkulus-787 whatsoever. Of course other liberal ideas such as EFCA, Carbon tax, ObamaCare or tariffs on Chinese tires do not help either. Obama hoped to use the crisis to grab $ trillions and divide among his cronies and hoped that economy will take care of itself and he'd took all the credit. Did not happen that way. The entrepreneurs did not earn their money by surrendering their profits to mafia. Tells you a lot about incompetence and arrogance of the Obama administration.
  • A little something to brighten your day, dear Payton :) HOW TO START EACH DAY WITH A SMILE.... 1. Open a new file in your computer. 2. Name it 'Barack Obama'. 3. Send it to the Recycle Bin. 4. Empty the Recycle Bin. 5. Your PC will ask you: 'Do you really want to get rid of 'Barack Obama?' 6. Firmly Click 'Yes.' 7. Feel better? GOOD - Tomorrow we'll do Nancy Pelosi!
  • Well from what I have seen it has helped with jobs...its stopped the unemployment rate from hitting 40% plus which it was going to be under G.W.B. and his inept cohorts. Now what you should be asking is why haven't the might private sector started to re-employ people even though they got the stimulus packages?... oh I forgot they were to busy paying the CEO's and top ex's with it ...
  • Almost everything this administration does causes unemployment to go up. Instead of focusing on job killing bills like cap n trade to try and stop the ficticious "man-made global warming" we should've had a job summit back in March. http://www.petitionproject.org/ http://www.kusi.com/weather/colemanscorner/38574742.html http://www.kusi.com/weather/colemanscorner/19842304.html
  • I didn't realise that help was a synonym for cure.
  • Oh, so you'd rather he talk about WHAT at the job summit? C'mon. Think for a while. Then come back and try to make sense.
  • You can't really be that dumb to think the stimulus was supposed to be the grand solution to all these problems.....
  • As a rule when something is helped is it than solved or are some problems not so simple - more involved with requires ongoing attention? Very insightful thought provoking question, thanks.
  • Dearest, didn't we discuss you're perpetual need to make sense. Making sense is wrong in the world today. Tsk tsk. I agree, the stimulus was supposed to be the band-aide over the gushing wound.
  • Yes. But due to the Republican Quislings there are still more jobs to help create. Since you're not going hungry, you can't see the problem.
  • And it did help. We've lost far fewer jobs than we would have. Like an out of control car, you don't stop the milli-second the brakes are hit. But you will eventually skid to a stop.
  • If I'm not mistaken the Obama administration claimed that the unemployment rate would not go past 8% with the help of this stimulus package,,last I checked it's at 10.2% now you can see how the health care numbers are going to stack up.
  • It did - but more has to be done.
  • No the stimulus was for acorn to give money and teach prostitutes how to sell sex legally and make money through child trafficking, and pedophiles. . Duh
