  • well, people would make money... wether it be with shiny rocks or with crafted objects, people will trade stuff for others, and some stuff will be worth more than others... leading people to kill for the more wanted items... in essence, its a cycle that never ends...
  • So how would we put a value on the exchange of goods and services?
  • I agree! If there was no money, there would be no motivation whatsoever for crime or fraud or scams. And all the problems caused by corporate manipulation of government would vanish. The problem, as someone else said, is how would we exchange goods and services. Bartering just won't work in a modern society. Perhaps if we had technology where automation provided all our goods and services for free, and robots to do our personal chores, such a moneyless society might be possible. But how do we get there from here? Who would own the automation infrastructure and the robots?
  • You would milk cows, do farming, built home, perform self brain surgery etc etc
  • For starters...the saying, "Your MONEY, or your LIFE"--would sound pretty ridiculous!!!
  • We'd go back to a barter and trade system..which would last all of about a week before someone figured out that it would be easier to carry around a pocketfull of some kind of currency instead of a wagon full of goods. Then currency and debt and banks would spring up overnight and we'd all be back in the same boat. Our problem isn't with having a currency, it's a good idea fundamentally. The problem is our way of thinking, the system of banking's way of thinking and the government's way of thinking when it comes to currency.
  • People would just find something else to collect and gain wealth. There would still be theft, laziness, fraud, greed, poverty, and envy. There would also still be generosity, compassion, ambition, work ethics, success, and pride. In short, we would still be people in a society. Unless of course you are talking about a communist or socialist government.
