It was actually the band name before we went by alice cooper himself

It was the name of his former band. Apparently they just made it up and it's not from anywhere, but people kept thinking that Alice Cooper was him, not the band. So it kinda caught on and he started going by that name. Then when the band broke up, he kept the name as his own and started a solo career. =)
