Most recently, and nationally, it would seem that's Circuit City. Montgomery Wards also comes to mind. Marshall Fields, just don't tell those who live in Chocago, they still can't accept that.

    Eaton's stores in Canada.
    .
It was a huge chain department store in Canada that had grown from a mail order store (i believe) in the late 19 th. century.
    .
The Eaton's catalouge was used by our parents, but for us kids it was a great source of dreams and knowing what to whine for.
    .
Eaton's was an institution that I think no one living in Canada did not know or did not buy from. When i took a trip back to Canada a while back i found they had gone belly up, fallen to family greed and mismanagement.
    .
Old Timothy E. Eaton must have been spinning in his grave!

    Woolworth's 5 and 10 Stores.

    Went out in the 70s.

Everything that was a nickel or a dime, became a quarter and a dollar.

They had to change the name of the store or close, because false advertising.
