It was really good. Although I have yet to watch the subbed version, which actually deals with the romance properly instead of skirting over it... Cardcaptors is apparently a completely different show from Cardcaptor Sakura. I plan on watching it at some point. I'm curious. I watched the movies as well, which don't skirt over it and I know that Madison/Tomoyo is a lesbian and in love with Sakura. I always thought that her making Sakura wear those outfits was a bit suspect. =P Apparently there is a gay vibe between Sakura's brother and Julian/whatever his Japanese name is as well. They never showed that on CITV when I was a kid. XD
