  • Neither..hopefully I wont need them or see them for anything.
  • Helped. They only hurt those who go afoul of the law, and then it's not the police who have hurt them, but themselves,(in most cases, remember they are humans capable of error in judgement), if I had to deal with the scum they do on a daily basis and place my life in jeopardy to protect a largely ungrateful public, I might sour a bit too!
  • I asked the Question because personaly they have never helped me when I needed it, we rented a room to a guy, who stole bunch of stuff when moving out, they even knew him and said, that his a scumbag, but "we can't do anything about it" other time someone stole $400 from my friend we knew who it was, and once again, "we can't do anything about it" but when me and friends walk on a street later on at night, they don't hesitate to stop us and ID us, and they're quick to give me speeding tickets etc... so they definitelly hurt me more than helped.
  • Eh, getting arrested isn't fun. And they sure do love to hang around venues and harrass us poor rocker kids. I don't like 'em much.... but they haven't exactly hurt me..... just kind of a pain in the ass.
  • they hurt me. after i was assulted by someone in my family, and after that family member told them i was smoking pot, they discarded everything i said. i guess the bruises and cuts were just part of a psychotic episode.. right? oh and did i mention i wasnt even smoking up at the time.
  • As much as I know they help and have protected me and my family from countless things that would've occured if there was no police force they've also harmed me on at least 2 occassions: In a case of mistaken identity a police officer lied in a police report to make sure I at least got a DUI because he was sure I had committed theft. When he found it I wasn't the guy he still charged me with a DUI and claimed I attempted to run when all I did was pull over. I had had 2 drinks that night but refused sobriety tests because I was outraged. Now I'm paying for what they lied about because it's my word against theirs. Another occassion I was arrested because a member of a vehicle I was a passenger had marijuana. After a night in jail the judge said I should've never been arrested and personally saw to it that all charges were dropped. I know of much much worse, but just these instances alone have made me realize that police can and do abuse their power and you should be careful when dealing with them.
  • helped me.
  • Can't think of any good they've done ;(
