  • Just explain it to him/her. Don't lie or avoid the question. When you do (s)he's not likely to come back to you for more info because you'll have taught him/her that you're unconfortable with these kind of questions, causing you to loose not only part of your "authority" as a parent but also part of the friendship you have with your child. Just be honest. What's the big deal? It's just because it invokes an ashamed feeling in YOU -- yet it's all part of the big master plan.
  • At that age you come really sensitive. If I had a five year old. I would not lie nor avoid the question but I will try to answer it in a way that they are satisfied and it answer the question without leading to other questions.
  • Would find a way to explain to them what it is.
