Help answer this question below.
Not at all. I don't care if I get points, I just like to answer questions. I like to give my opinion and be as helpful to others as I can.
I don't answer for the points. I answer because it is fun. The points are gravy. I do try to give point worthy answers most of the time.

You're reading If a question requires a long and detailed answer, are you less likely to answer it if the person asking it is new to AB and therefore can only give 1 point or quite possibly you may get no points at all?

I didn't even know how to look until you asked the question. Never put two and two together I guess.

I was just curious because some people try to write short snappy questions to encourage reply's and so presumably just to gain more points. So curious if some people only write short snappy answers just for points. Also I just wonder sometimes if they ever read the answer . I suppose someone will..... one day :) thanks
