Is she a puppy? Puppies can have an abundance of energy. The panting is a cause for concern though. I think you should bring her to the vet. It could be nothing, but you chose to bring this dog into your home and to take responsibility for it's life and wellbeing, right? So bring it to the vet for a check-up. It could be nothing but it could be serious: a cat my friend brought home from a humane society used to pant and he eventually found out she had a hole in her lung! She had surgery and is fine now but if he hadn't brought her to the vet she would have slowly wasted away and died.

You're reading My Standard Poodle is 7 months old. She seems to pant a lot. Sometimes all night. She sleeps with us and last night she couldn't get comfortable and was panting. I took her for a long walk, and she has an abundance of energy. Should I be concerned?
