According to Microsoft Tech support, the error message "windows system32 config system" could have a lot of meanings. There is not just one computer-related problem this could imply but many.
Registry
One of the reasons is the registry file for your hard drive is completely missing or has become corrupted by a virus.
Attacker
Another reason is an attacker has accessed your computer by remote access and changed registry or SystemRoot files. This means they might be copying your files and transferring them to their computer.
System Hive
Another reason is your system hive cannot be more than 10.3 MB. If it exceeds this limit, it will prevent your computer from rebooting.
Older Versions
If you've installed an older version of Windows operating system, that is considered an x64 version and your computer does not have the memory to support it.
Physical Memory
Another reason is you have exceeded the physical memory contained in the computer and it is crashing. If this is the case, attach an external hard drive immediately.
