I would have to read the actual study. The BBC often get things wrong and distort what is actually been reported.
You would need to see the dosage that population was taking to get gastrointestinal bleeding. Perhaps they took too much? pre-existing conditions?
who knows!
I think it is yet more confusing and contradictory evidence. Just more of what we have come to expect from medical scientists and researchers. Who knows what to believe?

You're reading Have you been told that taking aspirin regularly wards off heart attacks? If so what do you think of the new study referenced below that says says aspirin can cause serious internal bleeding and does not prevent cardiovascular disease deaths?
