What's the difference between commercial and infomercial?

    commercials are advertisements that are usually 30 seconds to a minute long while infomercials are 30 minutes or longer.
    you get more info in that time period than you do with a regular commercial.
    that's the only difference i know of :)

    a commercial and an infomercial should technically not have the same purpose now that you make me think about it that way... my former views were that an infomercial was a commercial that blatantly pounded a product into your head for an obscene amount of time. Now I think an infomercial might be one of those ones that are strictly "informative" and say "call to participate" rather than "call now for prices".

    Sharona Life is a Tale Told by an Idiot

    A commercial is a short informative advertisement and an infomercial is a longer much more inclusive advertisement usually lasting a half hour.
