Usually, they know exactly how to drive their parents crazy.

At 2 they can walk, run, sing, scream and get into anything they are not supposed to. I love that age, they are so much fun.

I must agree with the others- two year olds are usually PROFICIENT at getting into everything they shouldn't and making a huge scene when you try to stop them from doing what they want. A two year old should also have some basic language skills. They won't hold a conversation with you, but they should be able to ask for simple things and maybe even string together a few coherent words. "No, mama!" "Give me daddy."

I work with children with Autism... This is what we rate the child on depending on age to determine if they are developmentally normal: Age 2: ~Do pretend play with you with more than one action, like feeding the doll and then putting the doll to sleep? ~Use and understand at least 50 words? ~Use at least two words together (without imitating or repeating) and in a way that makes sense, like “want juice”? ~Enjoy being next to children of the same age and show interest in playing with them, perhaps giving a toy to another child? ~Look for familiar objects out of sight when asked?

A two year old is getting into everything. At this age there mind is racing to learn more things. For example, my two year old can carry a conversation on with you. She will tell you if she is mad, sad, happy, or don't feel well. She loves learning new things. She can count to 13. She knows some of her colors and shapes. I have learned that a two year has a sponge as a brain. They pick up on everything you say. Be careful on what you say...LOL...I love this age and would not trade for the world.
