No. Using that logic, it would be just as easy to believe that Darth Vader and the other characters in "Stars Wars" really existed ... in a galaxy far, far away ...

i saw a book on unicorns .. does that mean they exist ? ;-)

Archaeologists, are finding no evidence to back up the exodus story. What they are finding is quite the contrary. Mosses tribes erupted from the very dessert the ravaged for 40 years. If this is the case then the whole Old testament is not very factual is it? So if the pre dated stories are fictional how would any subsequent stories based off of them have any value in truth?

I've not found a COMPLETE Bible in English ... They all seem to have omitted certain "Books" as the ones that were taken out when they did the King James version ... There is the Complete Hebrew version which is said to be COMPLETE ... However; I've read the Hidden / Omitted Books of the Bible and find that I have a LOT of doubt as to MUCH of the Bible's Content ... even without the Omitted /Hidden Books ... I personally believe that the Bible is suposse to have been written BY mortal man thru Divine inspiration. However; I believe further that as Mortal man wrote the words of God; that his own thoughts and ideas may have become mixed up and written down also ... thus contaminating the Bible. Verses about killing Both Adulters, Killing you own children , Certain foods are a sin to eat, certain skin is a sin to even touch,Marrying your Rapist, etc ... and the list goes on ... cannot be the words of a loving and compassionate GOD ... in my opinion . +5

No more than the complete-existence of The Tempest is reason to believe Prospero and Caliban really exist. The completeness of a book says nothing about the realism of its content.

How do we actually know it is complete? Does it say "The End."?
-
That Jesus existed is a matter of historical fact. That God exists I take to be self-evident. The Bible is commentary on what God is like and his relationship with His covenant people - as told by those claiming to be His covenant people.

Are you sober? What are you saying? First of all, the Bible exists in complete form. What the hell does that mean? How do you know it's complete? What does that have to do with belief in God or Jesus for that matter. Lots of people believe in Jesus that have never touched the Bible and God has been around for a lot longer than the Bible.

See, another time when it would be in my best interest to not answer a question, but I am going to, like I always do. The bible in no way shape or form is in it's complete form. It is a book that was pieced together selectively by a group of christian leaders at that time and put out there as the absolute truth the end. I do not say this to offend anyone and I apologize in advance to those that may be offended.+4

It's complete form? Surely if god is still amongst us the story is far from over? Regardless, having a book, complete or not is not a basis for belief. Cat in the Hat was a done deal and I don't believe that cat exists.

Yes!...because Revelation has mentioned Armageddon...and until that happens, there is no more information... Buit more information is coming..AFTER Armageddon... (Revelation 20:12-13) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened,......... They are YET to be opened...so this means MORE knowledge... It could even be knowledge of space travel?? To even GET THERE [?] we would need to live a long time. God did not create the earth...simply for nothing... This must also apply to the whole universe... (Isaiah 45:18) For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: “I am Jehovah, and there is no one else. The universe is so vast, it is likely he wants that inhabited also. In time...

I'm trying to figure out where the logic is in this question! How would a complete Bible be reason to believe God and Jesus exist? Moses didn't have a complete Bible - he didn't have ANY Bible! Ditto for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. So what am I missing here?
-
Why do you think the Bible is in it's complete form? Many books were thrown out by the Council that codified it. The Roman authorities ordered books destroyed that were at variance with the "state religion" at that time. +5

Well you had the old testaments, and then the new testaments, maybe one day you will have the really new testaments, so who can say if it is complete. It is like an on going Stephen King story. A book is no reason to beleive anything unless it has back up references which can be validated and which give proof to the books statements. The bible has none of these. We may as well beleive in Ron Hubbard's little aliens, or Dr Suez's Who's.

I’m not quite sure what this question means. What do you mean by “the Bible exists in its complete form”? Thanks!
-
No, either way, it's just a book written by men. Words on paper are hardly real proof. Give me something that I can test. I was led to believe "blindly" That God existed as a youth. I respect all of those with faith, I just don't believe anything I can't touch, see, or test.
