First song I remember learning how to sing. (This was back when AM transister radios were in vogue.) Roger Miller's "King of the Road". As for children's songs, I don't recall anything other than "Pop Goes the Weasel"...which happens to be the theme of The Three Stooges shorts which I viewed daily.

I'll be 60 next year on 3rd February. Before I was old enough to go to Kindergarten my Mom would sing to the three of us a song she made up the words to...it goes: Sally is the best of girls, tries to hide her shiny curls mischief lies in her eyes they are blue like summer skies Sally wears the plainest dress not a sign of fluffiness playing ball not at all she's a picture on the wall. A few years later when I went to Kindergarten I learned the words to this song. It goes: Brother come and dance with me, both my hands I give to thee, right foot first, left foot then, turn around and back again. Now that I reside in Berlin, Germany, I sing it in German. It's from HASEL and GRETL. WASAWOO loves all the songs her Mom sang to her!
