  • I agree with you but theres not much we can do about it
  • I have not been a member of this site for long but I do find the disrespect shown to people for having a different viewpoint annoying. Sometimes I have felt baited into replying to posts that are specifically aimed to antogonise non-christians and I do not feel good that I rise to it. It would be good to have a site that did not have political and religious bickering.
  • If you're offended by a question, it's time to shut off your computer. Freedom of speech rules here.
  • Beliefs are a choice, not a deformity or disability. They deserve no more respect than a person's musical preferences.
  • I do find it distasteful. I have never understood the thinking that my way is right and everyone else's way is wrong. My way is right for me; theirs for them. It is the cause of so much fighting and dissent in the world and somehow we just can't seem to stop it, and live and let live.
  • Well some people's beliefs are quite derogatory to other groups of people that have nothing to do with their beliefs, and that's not right either, but it happens.
  • What's wrong with asking question and forcing people to reconsider their believes? It's an important process that one questions one's own believes and challenges the ones that appear to be wrong. Everyone should be entitled to have own believes, it's not about that. It's about challenging them instead of just accepting them as equally. Why should I accept arguments about issues in life such as abortion, gay marriage, cloning, law (sharia), status of women in society, education and truth itself, if they are based on belief systems that are not supported by logic or evidence? If people would keep their believes to themselves, it would not be a problem. However, since they indocrinate their children with it and use their believes for politics, science and all kinds of things, it becomes a matter of public interest and I don't want to tolerate wrong views. Respectful discussions, even provocative questions are therefore important and a good thing. One should attack believes and not people though.
  • If you are not asking questions and understanding more, how would you correct yoruself? Asking question and answering question is a way to learn. If there is a taste of disrespect, then it is bad. But many questions are valuable and enjoyable. End of the day, it is knowledge that we are all seeking for. That is the only thing which can make you happy and stay with you forever.
