  • my thinking would be towards water getting in the oil. have you checked oil for a root beer look?
  • This is your crankcase vent.It is a open vent to allow compression that gets passed the piston rings to vent,so that it doesnt pressure up your crank case and blow out your oil seals.Make sure it is left open other wise you will have major oil leaks.You will see a vapor that looks like steam this is normal.As the engine gets up in hours you will see more and more which means your cylinders and rings are worn this is normal.
  • If the white smoke its smelling bad I would say that worn piston rings are causing that and other possible and even worst could be water in the oil...check for water drops on the dip stick...anything over 700,000 miles is one of this causes
