That was the first thing that came to mind. It was obviously totally unheard of back in....I was gonna say ancient times but that's a bit mean lol, so...a while back, cos so many older people are acting all shocked and judging people who have kids before marriage or live together before marriage.

Actually women began smoking openly more around WWI - it was seen as a liberating activity in light of First Wave Feminism & the flapper trend =P

well it depends on the believes of each country , each religion but in general i'll say that may be the only common thing that used to be disgraceful but not any more is makin' love before marriage .
