    Question #1 = Because the relationship between freedom and responsibility escapes lotsa folks, mandating the 'need' for external social forces instead of individual authenticity, care & concern. - Question #2 = If you're an idiot.     it is a matter of Governments making decisions on behalf of the people, to run your country ,and the people have the right to vote who they want in power,as for controlling our lives not not sure i would agree there ,

    Government is there to help us maintain society. It'd be nice if it wasn't. If folks could be trusted to do what's right regardless we wouldn't need a government.
