yes definitly. It can ruin relationships. You need to have something to talk about when your face to face so if your constantly updating eachother what is left. also he may get the feeling that your checking up on him and stuff wich also isnt good. If your in constant contact with eachother theres not a much to look forward to when you guys see eachother. Im not saying that you shoudnt text them ever, just dont over do it.

If it's too much, yes. Moderation is a good thing. Communication in person is more rewarding. Save what you have to say so you can share it in person and see the person's eyes and response. Texting, phone calls, and email tend to separate more than the draw together in a meaningful way.
