WWII was important to america because americans were stuck in a very deep depression. By the end of the war the economy was flourishing and things were looking up. WWII was caused when Nazi Germany seized control of surrounding countries in the beginning of their global conquest and the allies, France and Great Britain, came to a violent rescue. The united states was involved when the empire of japan, allied with Germany and italy, attacked the island base of pearl harbor in Hawaii. After such a slap in the face by such a relatively harmless country, the american spirit was stirred to begin wartime production and the campaign to destoy emperor Tojo's regime. ------------------------------------------ Sidenote, this better not be for a homework assignment.
