    If the RED brake light is on you should't drive the vehicle. The red light means there is a serious problem with the base brake system. It could be as simple as low fluid level in the master cylinder but it means there is a serious problem with the brakes. I repeate... there is a SERIOUS problem if the red light is on and you SHOULD NOT drive the vehicle.
