It fails everywhere. Inevitably the well runs dry with no incentive to dig new ones. Mere survival is often not enough.

I believe that sort of system is flawed by it's own recourse. Capitalism brings forth the means in which social failures stand out . If we address them in the hopes that the evolving economy will begin to absorb both Capitalism and Socialism's best qualities. Too much of a good thing never turns out to be what we really need. Balance is the answer.
