CA recently added some new constraints to ammo sales. CA has the most conservative legislator in the nation and a republican governor. Why aren't people howling about republicans taking away gun rights? Brady Bill? republican effort too by the way.

You never graduated elementary did you? The brady bill was for mentally deficient people (Your family maybe) from owning/buying handguns. "Ammo" is not part of "Gun Banning"...Grow (If you can) a brain. Thank you.

There is NOTHING conservative about The Peoples Socialist Republic of California unless you consider anything to the right of "Pelosi the Polarizer" as eing conservative. The NRA has been very active in California for quite some time now trying to prevent the stupidity. Unfortunately the sheeple there continue to let their rights be trampled. There are quite a few sheriffs there that will get the boot for their next election over only giving permits to the elite. If you weren't a flamer, you would probably know that those who believe and fight for gun rights are often just as many Democrats as Republicans.

Watch for AB373 to be introduced in the Calif legislature in January, it will repeal A962 before it comes into play (2011).

California State Assembly: 28 Republicans 50 Democrats 01 Independent California State Senate: 15 Republicans 25 Democrats Considering that a number of the Republicans could also not be really be called conservatives, then anyone who thinks that the California Legislature is a conservative body is just showing how far left they are on the political spectrum. Numbers based on the makeup of the Legislature as reported at http://www.leginfo.ca.gov/yourleg.html as of 29 October 2009. One should also remember that we are talking about the state that keeps reelecting Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein to the US Senate. These two are hardly conservatives and any state that would keep sending them back to Washington would not be likely to have a conservative majority in its own legislature.
