  • There's a book called Vagabonding by Rolf Potts (see www.vagabonding.net), which might give you some ideas and inspiration, and Rolf's personal website, www.rolfpotts.com, for more on the man himself. Certainly, you will need at least a little money to get started, but if you're willing to rough it and to get by on a minimum then it can be done. There are also other books, such as Summer Jobs Worldwide, and Work Your Way Around The World (try typing these titles into Google), which give advice on what kinds of jobs you can expect to get in different countries and how to go about getting them. Your success with this approach will depend on a number of factors, not least of which are drive and determination, but if you don't manage it this way, try getting some kind of job where you are and save up as hard as you can for a certain period (e.g. a year, or 6 months if you can't wait that long), knowing that you're working towards an ultimate goal you really want. People can, and do, travel all over the world with very little money. If you want it enough you can achieve it. Good luck!
  • It would be very helpful if you said where you're from. Europe has a number of exchange programs where students can live and work in another EU country for a period.
