  • They're both in demand and you would do great with either one. However, I'm seeing far more ads in my area (Southern California) for Java than .NET at the moment. However, you know how this industry is - in a year it will be the exact opposite. Personally, I find Java much more intuitive, more due to the fact that I'm Window-centric I find myself doing far more in the .NET arena than anything else. Right now I'm making my head hurt trying to figure out PowerShell so I can write Admin Scripts.
