most people get depressed aroundd the holidays because of all the spending and running around to try to buy gifts or candy for halloween

I get depressed around Christmas and Thanksgiving. I absolutely loathe both holidays. Not because of the spending and such, but because most of the emotional trauma I have suffered in life has been centered around these two holidays. I love Halloween though.

Being alone on Christmas the last 8 years tends to do that to a person.

I am always depressed between Halloween and until Jan. I just do not like the holidays. Spending it with family acting like we love each other when all it is is criticism and put downs. Gossiping. Then going to church and acting like all is well. It's also because I can't be with the ones I love so much: families, friends adn my son.

Mainly depressed this year. If I hear "Blue Christmas" one more time I'm gonna collapse. And yes, I know why. I will struggle through it all.

Yes, because everyone around me is unhealthily happy and I'm not feeling the Christmas cheer as they do.
