    I would proably say over a year. Because over a year you know eachother well, enough to know that when you get married he/she is not going to change into someone they are not.

    well it's up to the individials it depends...how long have they knowen one another before they got together...or how much they know about each other,i belive if you truley love one another...and you know each other well enough....it doesnt matter how long/soon until you get engaged,its what ever is in your heart :)
