The odds are pretty remote. A draft is one of the "thou shall not do" things in Congress as it immediately stirs up all kinds of resistance from various groups. Some will claim racism, others economic opportunism, etc. The draft in the US is widely seen as scooping up all the 18-22 y.o. males and sending them off to combat, but that's not true. 18-22 is actually the second-to-last age group to be called up. 23-35 is the beginning range and starts from the oldest to the youngest. After all eligible 23 y.o.s are called, the 18-22 is next, followed by 36-40. 40 is considered the top age but that may be changed now that the military accepts new enlistees up to 42 y.o.
