If I remember rightly, if you are not on your period when you had the shot, it will take 7 days before it will be effective. NetDoctor confirms this too.

No period when I got 1st shot.3wks overdue for 2nd one and no bleeding the entire time alsosore nipples etc.Is there a chance I may be preg?

When you first get the depo shot and have to pee in a cup I kno they check to see if your prego but is that all or do they check for stds to
