Unsafe abortions killed 70 thousand women last year. Anti-choice people in the U.S. want to drive abortion underground here. These same groups oppose birth control as well. How is that pro-life?

Even if you do not personally believe in abortion, it is a legal procedure. And as such we should strive to ensure clean and safe medical facilities for all medical procedures...which we don't...which is a crying shame. Because it is 'promoting that kind of behaviour'. Withholding funding for a clean clinic, or actively shutting down a clinic so procedures have to be performed outside a sterile, safe, clinic is murder. It is definitely not pro-life.

It isn't "pro-life" at all, it's madness. Frankly I hate abortions - but I'm not going to shove my values and opinions down anyone's throat like these "pro-life" tools, ( yes - tools - for these people are being used and manipulated by their churches and their political party ). If you don't like abortions then don't have one - don't be a dog in the manger and deny to a total stranger their right to a safe pregnancy termination. These wackjobs are anti-life not pro-life..they are zealots and control freaks and completely UN American in outlook and practice.

Pro-life seems only to apply till you're born. The same crew is so pro war their laundry list of countries the US needs desperately to invade ran out of paper and ink. They are pro death penalty and not too concerned that the jury system reaches wrong verdicts. Once you're here, it's a dog eat dog world and they plan to be the biggest, best armed dog.

You must understand that we are dealing with a collection of people who KNOW that if the rest of the world just came to their scenes and did things THEIR way everyone would be happy. They are operating under the illusion that by outlawing the practice it will stop (yeah, right... traffic laws???) and once it is illegal those who have an abortion and die obviously got what they diverse. Ironic also that those who oppose abortion also oppose birth control and sex education.
