  • It is my opinion that the overwhelming majority of black players would give Rush Limbaugh a chance. He if guys will play for Al Davis, they can play for anyone. Where Rush would run into problems is when he runs his big mouth and start talking that borderline racist smack - like he did Donovan McNabb a few years back.
  • I hope that they aren't; it would be nice for people like Limbaugh to understand that the words of hate and discord that seem to spew forth from their mouths aren't acceptable to mainstream America. It would also be nice to see athletes step up and get some non-sports press for something that isn't drugs, dog fighting, or drunk driving, it would set a good example for all of the people that seem to be so enamored with the athletes.
  • I am sure should Rush's purchase go through the NFL will sanction, fine or suspend players who refuse to play for him but I hope they stand their ground. Rush fairly recently called for segregated school buses. I hope some white players refuse to play for him too. Rush has enjoyed getting rich playing on peoples fears. Let's see him pay for it now. After all, the rat bastard who said all illegal drug users should be locked up and the key throw away got away with illegally using drugs didn't he? If he finally has to pay the piper this time I say that's justice.
  • First of all, Limbaugh's statement wasn't a slam on McNabb because he is black. It's a slam on the sports media. Most people forget that. Of course they will play for him. What are they going to do? Play for about 1/10 the money in the arena league. I don't think so. Talk is cheap unless you're Limbaugh.
