Do u shop at discount stores for groceries? if so are u ever embarrassed to say so?

We do a lot of shopping at Aldi which has quality products for much less than the other stores. I don't understand why anyone would be embarassed to say they like to save money.

I buy most fresh veggies at the open market, which is much cheaper and usually have local products which are better - the supermarkets tend to concentrate on appearance and size more than taste.

Gosh no I'm not embarrassed to shop at any discount store- then tell whoever will listen about my bargins.

Nope not embarrassed at all, I even buy clothes for working outside, from thrift stores. Why Should I ruin a perfectly good pair of jeans or a shirt.

Why would I be embarrassed about it? I'd be more embarrassed to admit I was an idiot who shopped in expensive department stores for the same thing I could buy at the local discount store. How wasteful.

Heck in my town you see Escalades parked front and center in front of the discount stores! I LOVE saving a buck, although I haven't saved enough to buy a damn Escalade...

Theres no shame in shopping at discount shops! I don't for the basic groceries so much, because I don't like much of it - but I do hit Aldi and Lidl for things like cheese, salami, chocolate and olive oil.. the treats! I will also hit the 99p or pound shops for toiletries and cleaning produts. Never embarassed =)

All the time! I do my grocery shopping @ Aldi's & what I can't get there (like name brand soda) I shop for @ Wal-Mart or Kroger. I have two recipes in particular that I make all the time. For one I save $7 & another I save $11 @ Aldis & it tastes exactly the same. When people ask for the recipes I always tell them how they can save money by getting the ingredients @ Aldi's.

Yes. No. ALDI is awesome! I've been buying milk there for $1.49/gallon, among other great deals. I can't imagine why anyone would be embarrassed about being wise with money. I can see why people would be embarrassed to be on welfare or food stamps, and rightly so.

I shop wherever I can get the best value for my money, and that's for anything. There is no shame in spending less.
