due to the fact that its possible for their to be more paper silver or gold than physical. If there is a run on the ETFs there will be a shortage, and some investors may lose. If you hold physical bullion, that risk does not exist.

also, if you buy $10,000 or less worth at a time, it is not tracked by big brother. Also its pretty and my wife likes to run her hands through it.
