I prefer a nurse in the room. Not that I don't trust my doctor but things happen.

Either way, I don't care. I see the docs as mechanics who I'll never see again.

The one and only time I had the rubber glove thing, I was glad it was a female doctor with a small finger. When the pt is a female, I suppose it would be good practice to have a female nurse or med assistant present just to eliminate the chance the pt may make some claim - justified or not - of having been mishandled behind a closed door.

im a diabetic so i have to go in every 3 months for bloodtest, medical exams and etx. i do like having someone else in the room with me because it gives a sense of security. the first time a doctor told me to stand up and drop my pants i was like....what?! and that was when i was really young so i asked my mom to stay but ever since i dont really care.

I don't really mind. The doctor would have seen countless breasts, butts and genitalia in his/her career. If there's a nurse in the room, so be it, if there isn't, I don't care.

Makes no difference to me. Just the doctor is fine with me regardless of his/her sex.
