  • In BDSM yes. Without permission? No.
  • After seeing what terrorists accomplished on 9/ll, I strongly lean toward using any and all methods of "Enhanced Terrogation" necessary to protect the people of this country. Having learned that they now have nuclear capabilities it is even more urgent.
  • I will say i firmly do not support Torture, there is no such thing as bullcrap "Enhanced Interrogation" thats torture duhhh. The reason i don't support torture is for a couple of reasons. 1. Its morally wrong. 2. Its Unreliable (people will tell you lies to make you stop torturing them.)
  • I don't think terrorists will confess if the US takes them to the beach and live in Florida. If torture will help attain information to save US lives, so be it.
  • As my platoon sergeant said before we went into Iraq... "If any one of my mens' lives can be saved by getting information from the enemy, I'll do what I have to do, regardless of the consequences." I don't like the idea but I think that when it came right down to it my men would take first priority. Things are different on the ground.
  • I myself don't support it but I am not in denial, the US government uses torture..no matter what you call it, it was torture. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, all I'm saying is America proclaims to be a free, country of the people (under god) and we have the burden of not lowering our standards in times of crisis if we want to remain to be seen as such in the eyes of the world. But if I did agree with torture I would call it torture and not try to soften it up with some B.S.P.C-ness.
  • If used in a fashion where it is most likely to bring results than I am all for it. . My thoughts are if the person in question is a member of the Geneva Convention then it is off the table. If, on the other hand, they are people like those responsible for 9/11 and don't follow "civilized warfare" (that's an oxymoron I guess) then all bets are off and they better talk. . I have never understood how, many, people can watch torture in movies or on television and root for it then be sooooo against it in "real" life against "real" terrorists to save "real" American lives. . I wonder why that is.
  • depends on how vital the information is...
  • I support neither. Though the neo-cons don't get it, we are BETTER than that here. It might take longer, it might require more patience and great ingenuity, but we are not Nazis and we are not muslims and we are not torturers or enhanced iterrogationists. We are Americans.
  • Yeah I do. I can't believe that americans are whining about the torture that we use knowing the torture methods that are used in the foreign countries on our soldiers. Hell at least we don't kill them and drag their bodies through the streets, or cut their heads off or electrocute, or slit their throats or etc.
  • Screw torture and to hell with those who advocate it.
  • I will freely admit that I would advocate the use of torture to obtain any and all information required from the non uniformed combatents. If 10,000 muslims have to die to save one american or our allies a hangnail, I am in favor of it. I will go further. In areas where Al Queda or the Taliban are operating we should inform the population as follows. If they come near you, run away. When we kill them, if you are nearby, too bad. If 1,000 of you die whn we strike just one of them, too bad for you. If you give them food, we will kill you and your family. If you give them water, we will kill you and your family. If you give them shelter, we will kill you and your family. If you give them money, we will kill you and your family. I think we should tell the tribal leaders, we will come back here in six days. Have everyone that you want to live here and be ready to leave on buses. The buses will bring you to a place of safety. Anyone who is not on the bus and brought to a temporary relocation area will be killed. No one will be left alive. When we have killed all of our enemies you will be allowed to return. Historically, genocide will work if applied ruthlessly and in a widespread manner. And generations untold will thank us for removing the cancer that is islam. You may now downgrade my answer, but that doesn't mean that I am wrong.
  • Those who support torture should be tortured themselves. I'm sort of kidding here....sort of...... But honestly - no, I do not support torture or any new euphemism like "enhanced interrogation techniques".
