If my employer was advertising for a certain vacancy within the company and filled this vacancy but then also created a new role within the company for one of the other applicants without advertising it internally can i take the matter to a tribunal?

    Private companies are entirely different from government job notices.

    it would help to know where u r
    in the US there is no law that states that jobs must be posted internaly
    if there is a union and there is a contract that states jobs must be poster internaly then you can
