Thank goodness I haven't

Yes. In the past year, I've gotten 3 emails saying that I have 100 million dollars waiting for my family from ancestors in the world bank, and all I had to do was to keep it a secret, tell no one, and give them my financial information, then I would get my money. It freaked me out because I thought the government was hacking into my computer!

Not that I'm aware of. I keep a close tab (almost daily) on my bank account because I make a lot of purchases online. Once a company asks for more information than I think is necessary for them to know, especially if I didn't initiate the contact, then I back out. Even if it's something like my phone number or address, I won't give that out. I delete e-mails from people if I don't know them or if they don't sound familiar to me. I'm a private person, which is probably why I haven't fallen victim to a scam. (I'm knocking on wood now!) I don't like sharing my information at all. If a company says "You'll love our products!" is one thing. I don't trust them if they say "You'll love all of our products! 100% money back guarantee! This is the best thing you could buy, and to prove it, here is one page of glowing testimonials from people who all have the same writing style and no negative things to say!" If you look at enough scams or scam-like services, you start to recognize the language they all tend to use. They sound similar whether they're online, in the mail, or in person.

I've received several Online scams telling me that I've "WON" this lottery or that lottery ... I sent Coke and Microsoft copies of the e-mails from those two ... I usually send the scam offers to the US Attorney General, the FCC, and also report them as SPAM ....
