Interstitial Cystitis is not chlamydia or a regular bladder infection. It is definitely not a sexually transmitted disease. It is not contagious at all, and is not an infection. It is more like diabetes or asthma. No one knows the cause. It hurts no one but you. There is no cure, but there are several helpful treatments. Look for the Interstitial Cystitis Association support foundation for good info/links, and check out Yahoo and MSN-type groups. Finally, don't buy "all natural", "secret", or other do-it-yourself crap on the web. Some self-help stuff is really important and useful--but it won't be found under a "sponsored link". Check those other sites and a good urologist instead.
