  • Some people would say that a swamp and a bog are the same but I thinks a swamp is a big lake or water course and a bog is just a mud hole. I would say that a marsh is a big lake with bullrush and reeds. I would like to know the difference between a quagmire and a morass.
  • Swamp: Usually has alot of vegitation growing out of it. Also a larger body of water. The vegitation is usually trees (like mangroves) that grow IN the water. Marsh: Similar to a swamp, but usually has grass like vegitation in it, like cattail and tall grasses. Bog: Usually a smaller body of water, generally has alot of algea and vegitation that grows directly on the surface of the water. The water underneath generally has alot of roots and seaweed like plants. Hope that helps!
