  • Your nervousness is natural; the main idea behind ropes courses is exactly to put you in uncomfortable situations, then give you the chance to overcome your fear of them, build confidence, work as a team etc. Safety measures are a core part of any such course, and it may help ease your nerves to do some Internet searches for pictures of the courses, and to read people's stories about going through them. Here's a site that includes some pictures...and the participants are even smiling as they do the activities!: http://www.eagle-bluff.org/pages/treetops.html
  • You should expect a physical challenge which will tax your abilities, if properly supervised. If you're not physically active, you will end up pretty sore for about three days afterwards. You might even if you ARE an active person! Research the camp and find out what their program is. This will give you some heads up. If you have some time before the trip, ask the camp counselors what physical activities you can do to help prepare you to get the most out of the experience. Stretch, so some basic exercises to get your body used to exertion, and just have fun!
