  • Look for roots! No one is born with roots. Even if she dyes it regularly, there will be roots. Also maybe if the drapes match the carpet? =)
  • Sometimes this is unreliable, but if her eyebrows are a different color...that's a dead giveaway. There's another surefire way to tell but it's not polite.
  • I don't think eye and skin color can really tell, but look at their eyebrows. From Experience, when people get their hair dyed lighter they often forget the little details like those.
  • Not really any for sure way to tell except ask, or look (assuming that is a possibility!). That's the only way to tell if the "carpet matches the drapes or however you wish to put it. :) Addendum: Of course dark roots are a giveaway, BUT they have products on the market that a well groomed woman who is very much into wanting people to think she is a blonde can use at just the roots area. So I think there are only two for sure ways to tell unless her dark roots show (in which case it is a no brainer), and I have named those two ways - unless you happen to know who does her hair!
  • Look to the roots! Next, the eyebrows. If you are intimate, need I say it?
  • Roots, eyebrows, and if you are getting intimate with her, the carpet should match the drapes... so to speak...
  • Look at the roots of her hair, eyebrows and eyelashes is she isn't wearing mascara. Underarm haai if she favours the euro look, though it may not be blonde even if she is a natural, maybe more like a light brown. Same with leg hair if there is any, particulary the shins and toe top...then you have the usual matching PUBIC hair to the rest...sorry but the everybody else wa being so polite...again it may not necessarily be blonde but a light brown. Goodluck. Just a thought! She may be a natural dark blonde who has lightened her hair a couple or more of shades...so the roots may not match and she could still be a natural blonde....
  • Thanks for all the help. (Unfortunately) No intimate stuff, so I cannot do the carpet=drapes test. I've only known her a few months, so I don't really want to ask her.
  • You men and your rug matching the drapes theory make me laugh.....I am the only brunette of 4 girls and 1 boy in my family.....all my siblings have blond hair and blue eyes....and everyone of them has different coloured underarm and nether-extremity hair rangeing from light brown to black. The only way to tell is if she or he dyes their hair and it starts to grow out a darker or different colour.
  • my 'drapes' (lol) are ...dark.. my eyebrows are a bit lighter.. but waayyyy darker than my roots, which are dirty blonde.
  • The carpet=drapes is entirely false. I was a blonde before I colored my hair so I should know. Also I have darker eyebrows, a dark brown, and I also have multiple friends who have blonde hair (naturally) but really dark eyebrows. The roots will be the only way to tell.
  • Roots. Carpet=drapes is not a good way. I was a natural blonde with "contrasting" carpet...lol I'm a naturally dyed over grey now...
  • Look at her eyebrows
  • Absolutely! Dark eyebrows do not necessarily mean someone is a fake blonde (I know, I'm a natural!) but very thick or very dark eyebrows are always indicators. Also, natural blondes never have coarse or very thick hair. Women with naturally blonde hair have the thickest hair when they are young; an older blonde with thick hair is almost always a fake. Eye color is not usually indicative one way or another, but blue, green or gray eyes are most common for blondes. Also, if anything else on the girl is fake (tan, lips, breasts, etc.) chances are much higher that she's a natural...brunette.
  • This is what I've discovered through personal experience. I've found that the best indication that a woman is a natural blonde is her pubic hair. Yes, it is possible to dye that blonde as well, but its quite uncommon due to the health risks. Furthermore, unlike head hair, its much easier to tell if pubic hair has been dyed blonde, since dyed pubic hair is more of a dull yellow without the shine, glitter and vibrancy of natural blonde pubic hair. Another important distinction is that natural blonde pubic hair is unique in that it has an "opaque" quality, which makes it somewhat transparent so that you're able to "see through" the hair and actually see the genital parts (including the vaginal lips and clitoris). This is not the case with brown, black or dark pubic hair, as well as dyed blonde pubic hair. Thus, with natural blonde women it often appears that they have shaved their pubic hair when in fact they have not (as an aside, I've found that far more brunettes tend to shave their pubic hair than blondes, the reason being that generally speaking, blonde pubic hair is much more visually appealing on a woman than dark pubic hair, and has traditionally been prized and sought after by men). After pubic hair, the second best indicator that a woman is a true blonde is her eyebrows. The only problem is that many times women with blonde eyebrows will often times pencil them darker. Fortuntately, that practice seems to be changing as blonde women realize that it is advantageous to keep their eyebrows their natural blonde color, as more people realize that blonde eyebrows are strongly indicative that a woman is indeed a true blonde. Third, I would say that having blue eyes and an ultra-fair, or porcelain white, complexion are usually good indicators. Finally, if she has dark roots, that's an obvious give away that she's not a natural blonde!
  • I have natural medium to dark blonde hair. When i was a kid my hair was light blonde. At age 7 when i started puberty i grew dark(almost black!) under arm and pubic hair. I also have medium brown eyebrows and hazel brown eyes. My skin tans well in the sumer, with my tan lasting well into the summer. I was always told that my hair would darken with age, and it has but it is still blonde and becomes more blonde in the summer. But guess what, from the age of 5 i have always wanted dark hair. As a kid i wanted it black, my mother let me do it dark brown when i was 14 and it went black. I lookede pale with it black but people who did not know me were shoked that i had been blonde. They thought that i had just gone from brown to black. When i do it medium brown people are fooled. The only problem is that i have a sensitive scalp and have dandruff, so the colour irritates. I have even tried to find a sunblock for my hair to stop it going light in the summer as i spend a lot of time outdoors. My hair is dyed chestnut brown at present. As for the hair thickness thing, i have thick hair if i do not dye it too often. In the future when it is possible to have genetic enhancements (or upgrades?), i am having ebony brown hair! It is true that we always want what we have not got. The only reason every one wants to be blonde is because most people are dark. I know of other natural blondes who would be dark if they had the skin to pull it off.
  • Depends how good the dye job is. It's easy to tell if they overdo the bleach because their hair will look like straw. If they are more careful, especially if they get it done professionally, it might not be very easy to tell. If they have olive skin and dark eyes, their hair could be blonded (but this isn't always an accurate indication).
  • have a look at the eyebrows they could give it away if they are alot darker otherwise it is the old cuffs matching the collar technique
  • Who actually cares? If she's going to "Hit the Bottle",Then it will always be a mystery...
  • Well, you're going to have to scratch the "drapes matching the carpet" thing and the "darker eyebrows" thing as well. My mom, brothers and sisters all have natural blonde hair. But...we all have darker eyebrows. Not the ugly black eyebrows with blonde hair but it's more like a blend of brown and blonde together. Also, the carpet could be blonde or dark brown. I could see if the "drapes matching the carpet" thing was true, both parents would have to be natural blonde. I'd say that the closest thing to knowing if someone is a natural blonde is looking at the roots. But remember, the roots are always darker so wait a while and hopefully they don't dye their hair again.

  • Um, I think the best way to tell is by looking at the skin color. For example, if the skin is naturally tanned, then the woman who has blonde hair probably dyed it... but then again, i don't know. But that's the way I always do it. Plus, if you see a 'blonde' with brown eyes, it's hard to tell if her hair is fake or real. But if that blonde has blue eyes, then it's most likely that she's a natural blonde.
