In my religious affiliation. We went to the same congregation, and we knew each other for a few years, then we started doing more things together in groups. We became good friends, and then our congregation was growing and so it was going to split into two congregations and she would be in one, and I would be in the other. I gathered my nerves and wrote her a 3 page letter (backwards) and eventually asked her if we could ever be more than just friends... and she wrote back an 8 page letter (backwards as well) and somewhere in there it said SEY. The rest is history. We dated, got engaged, got married and had 3 kids (not all at the same time).

thru a mutual friend, she brought me over to his house for a small party. We got to talking and ignored the rest of the people, suddenly we realized that everyone else had left! I basically never did leave! lol.

A mutual friend in high school called me and told me a friend of his was coming to pick me up and meet up with him. This big ugly blue truck pulled up and out hopped the dorkiest guy I had ever seen. I rolled my eyes and muttered "You have got to be kidding me!". And now here I am married to him for 16 years with 2 children! Who would have guessed???

Right here on Answerbag.(Although "Sweetie" isn't exactly a big word in my vocubulary.) Which came as a bit of a surprise to me at first. As great as this site is, it's just about the *Last* place I was expecting to find love. It's simply amazing how things like that can sneak up on you.

we met at a bonfire. im still actually shocked that we are together haha. we were both drunk, and he kept smelling my hair (and tryin to NOT be noticable) and i kept falling over and hitting him in the jewels. lol. i felt sooo bad. im surprised that after hitting him that many times that he didnt run for his life, or for his precious little "friends". lol.

I met my wife in line for concert tickets. (You older ABers will remember waiting in line for hours)I was just sitting there and heard her talking to a friend and realized that she was someone I was supposed to be set up with on a blind date through a mutual friend. I guess fate threw us together and now its 13 years and one child later.

I went in search of a car charger for my phone. Finally found a Verizon store and bought my charger from him... Thought he was cute, but he didn't ask for my number or anything, so I was disappointed but left.. When I got out to my car, my phone charger wouldn't work, so I went back to tell him. He came out to my car to test it, and of course, it immediately worked. So he accused me of just wanting to see him again and I told him he wasn't that cute. Then told him I was just kidding, and he asked for my number!

I was at a party in 10th grade and i was with another guy at the time. and I got very drunk and passed out on the floor. At five in the morning I woke up to my friend who was talking to his friend and at that point i couldnt go back to sleep. So, I stayed up and talked with "my future sweetie" For hours.

Meet in NYc,, he came upto me with the most pathetic pick-up line "I'm lost..can i use your cell phone?". I could actually see his cell phone in his pocket blinking. Haha But i decided to be nice and played along. We exchanged numbers...and the rest is history.

WE had been talking for a while but never actually physically met (friends gave emails to us). called him up after a hockey game one night cause i was bored and we went for coffee. the next day he took me for a supper, felt stupid for not making a move (he still chickened out). asked me over to watch a game a few days later, sat on the other side of the room but made me a bet on the game that winner gets a massage. i got an hour and a half neck massage before he finally made a move!

Met my ex when I was 16, my first huge crush. His father was contracted by my father to do some work and he came to LA with his father. After the job was finished they went back to CA and over time I heard he got married and started his business..life went on. After my father passed away I sold my house , hopped on my bike and lost my mind( I refer to it as my 7 month cocaine usa tour) I was in las vegas and this guy walked up behind me and said you dont belong here. It was my ex. So long story short, went to rehab, signed over poa to him..HUGE MISTAKE..we were married and divorced in a year, and it took almost as long to clear myself of being involved in federal charges with him. :)

He was lonely at a concert that we were both performing in, so to make him feel included, I went to talk to him. We chatted and ate biscuits and laughed about stupid things. I didn't fancy him, (though I thought he was good looking and I had never seen him around before) but I thought I'd do him a kindness. Then we started seeing each other around in the corridors and decided to hang out some time and that's where the romance started. :) I don't regret a second of it.

8 years ago when I was 13 and I was outside the movies with my friends for her birthday and he was there for his. He got his mate to come over to me and ask for my number.. but I said he had to ask himself.. So he did, we were only little so it wasnt much, we stayed really good friends and then dated after we both ended serious relationships.. we kinda lost touch, and then randomly bumped into eachother twice (once in a club and once in a shop) we decided to swap numbers and been together ever since, that was two n a half years ago :)
