Actually, I have been using "wind him up" or "fire him up" for a long time. I live in the U.S. and spend a lot of time in Canada, I'm not sure if that has much to do with my speaking habits. I pronounce about in the normal U.S. way but sometimes transport (trailer truck), or zed (zero) slips out. I do pronounce product or produce with the long o.
